About Us
Established in 2011, the Hawai‘i Association for Behavior Analysis (HABA) empowers and elevates providers and consumers of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) across the islands.
Our mission is simple: educate, advocate, and support. We provide professionals with the tools to deliver evidence-based ABA services and champion policies that ensure every provider and consumer is heard, valued, and supported.
Community is at the heart of HABA. We offer workshops, scholarships, statewide networking events, and student engagement initiatives. All designed to connect, empower, and uplift our community. Whether you’re a BCBA, RBT, educator, parent, student, or practitioner at any stage of your career, HABA welcomes you.

Our Message
HABA works diligently on legislative and policy issues that directly impact our community, such as securing autism insurance coverage and supporting behavior analyst licensure, which have significantly expanded access to ABA services across Hawai‘i. Our efforts also include sustainability initiatives to ensure the longevity of these services.
HABA offers both in-person and online workshops for educators, parents, students, and practitioners to promote evidence-based practices and strengthen our community. Each fall, HABA proudly hosts its annual convention on Oʻahu, bringing together leading professionals, researchers, and educators to share the latest advancements in behavior analysis and foster collaboration statewide.
